He Had a Dream

At a time when a strong and passionate voice was needed, in the face of societal racial injustice, Martin Luther King, Jr. proved the worth of a life wholly committed to a just cause.

Standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, in the brutal August heat, this

Southern Baptist preacher turned activist fervently sounded the battle cry to fight for an envisioned world of equality and opportunity for all, regardless of race or creed.

Referred to as his most remembered and excitable speeches, King implored America to abandon its biased treatment of those termed as colored people and promote unity for all.

May we celebrate his commitment to these same ideals on the day of Dr. King's birth.
